Starts the piano around 6 years and the violin around 9 years old

Starts the Royal Academy of Liege at 17, and obtains a diploma of violin, chamber music and musical theory

In the same time, he turns to improvisation and jazz

At 21, after having settled in Brussels, undertakes voyages, in particular in Romania, and is interested in several balkanic and “world musics”

Makes a series of concerts with the famous group of Rumanian gypsies the “Taraf des Haïdouks”

At 24, makes a tour in Canada with a group of dancers, and 2 musicians: Bert Cornelis, a Belgian citharist, and Partha Mukherjee, a famous Indian Tabla’s Master

From December 2008 to July 2009, he takes part in the world tour of the spectacle “Pity” of the famous Belgian choreographer Alain Platel, with ten dancers, 3 singers, and 7 other musicians, of which in particular Fabrizio Cassol (sax), Stephan Galland (drums) and Michel Hatzigiorgeou (bass), the musicians of Aka Moon, and Magic Malik, the famous French flutist. This tour give him the occasion to discover several countries in Europe, and also Japan and Congo. This show has been the subject of a documentary realised by Arte, that has been broadcasted in april 2010.

With Tcha Limberger (violin), Alexandre Tripodi (viola), Renaud Dardenne (guitar) and Sam Gerstmans (double bass), he creates the group “Les Violons de Bruxelles”. They record their first album in March 2012, which is released in September 2012. Their second album will be released in March 2017. www.lesviolonsdebruxelles.be

In december 2012, he goes to Varanasi, India and begins to study Indian classical music with a great master...

Participates in several Cd recordings for various artists, and also recordings for dance shows (i.e. the 3 last shows of Peeping Tom, famous belgian dance company), and plays in concert with groups of jazz, swing (i.e. Reverent Juke, special Lindy Hop band), gipsy jazz, afro-jazz (Magic Groove System), gipsy Balkan music, rock, blues, folk, Cuban music (Tumbao Cubano), Brazilian music, bluegrass (Bash), Greek music, Indian music (NadaTrio), and continues to do so… He has recorded and plays regularly also with "Sitardust" of the Sitar player Joachim Lacrosse (indo-jazz), whose album "Sitardust" is released in November 2016

In January 2016, he performs 3 concerts with Roby Lakatos, a very famous gipsy violonist, and Bireli Lagrène, a very famous French jazz guitarist, on the piano and violin, and it is a great success...

With "Les Violons de Bruxelles", he goes to Northampton, Massachussets, US, in june 2016 for the famous "Django in June Festival" where all of them teach and perform. The are very well appreciated. He meets also Giacomo Smith there, an immensely talented clarinet player from London, and they make a memorable concert.

Commence le piano vers 6 ans et le violon vers 9 ans

Rentre au Conservatoire Royal de Liège à 17 ans, et obtient un premier prix de violon, de musique de chambre et de solfège

Parallèlement à ses études, se tourne vers l’improvisation et le jazz

A 21 ans, après s’être installé à Bruxelles, entreprend des voyages, notamment en Roumanie, et s’intéresse à plusieurs « musiques du monde »

Fait une série de concerts avec le célèbre groupe de tziganes Roumains le « Taraf des Haïdouks »

A 24 ans, fait une tournée au Canada avec un groupe de danse, et deux autres musiciens : Bert Cornelis, un cithariste belge, et Partha Mukherjee, un maitre indien des tablas de renommée internationale…

De décembre 2008 à juillet 2009, participe à la tournée mondiale du spectacle « Pitié » du célèbre chorégraphe belge Alain Platel, avec un groupe de dix danseurs d’exception, un contre-ténor et deux sopranos de très grand talent, et 7 autres musiciens, dont notamment Fabrizio Cassol (saxophone), Stéphane Galland (batterie) et Michel Hatzigiorgeou (basse), les musiciens qui composent Aka Moon, ou encore Magic Malik, le très célèbre flutiste français. Cette tournée lui donne l’occasion de visiter quelques pays d’Europe, et aussi le Japon et le Congo, qui était la dernière destination. Le spectacle a fait l’objet d’un film réalisé par Arte, qui a connu ses premières diffusions vers avril 2010.

Avec Renaud Dardenne à la guitare, Tcha Limberger au violon, Alexandre Tripodi au violon alto, et Sam Gerstmans à la contrebasse, il crée le groupe « Les Violons de Bruxelles ». Ils enregistrent leur premier album en mars 2012, et celui-ci sort en septembre 2012. Leur second album est prévu pour mars 2017. www.lesviolonsdebruxelles.be

Il voyage en Inde en décembre 2012 et commence son exploration dans la musique indienne avec un maitre du violon indien à Varanasi…

Participe à plusieurs enregistrements de Cd pour différents artistes, et aussi des enregistrements pour des spectacles de danse (comme par exemple les 3 derniers spectacles de Peeping Tom, compagnie de dance belge très connue) et joue en concert avec des groupes de jazz, swing (Reverent Juke, groupe spécialement conçu pour le Lindy Hop), "jazz manouche", afro-jazz (Magic Groove System), musique balkanique, rock, blues, folk, bluegrass (Bash), de musique cubaine (Tumbao Cubano), brésilienne, grecque, indienne (Nada Trio) etc. Il a enregistré et joue régulièrement avec le groupe Sitardust du cithariste Joachim Lacrosse (indo-jazz) dont l'album « Sitardust » sort en Novembre 2016

En juin 2016, il fait 3 concerts avec Roby Lakatos (violoniste tzigane hongrois mondialement connu), et Bireli Lagrène (excellentissime guitariste français de jazz connu dans le monde entier), au piano et au violon, et c'est un grand succès...

En juin 2016, avec "Les Violons de Bruxelles", il voyage à Northampton, Massachussets, US, pour jouer et donner des cours lors du célèbre « Django in June ».
